19/11/2008 - McEwan: Stags have set the standard

Billy McEwan has urged his players not to let their standards slip now they have found the winning groove.Mansfield rarely looked troubled in their 3-0 win over Salisbury City last weekend.

McEwan was pleased with his side's focus in that match, which brought a run of five consecutive defeats to an end.

Now he wants to see the same intensity at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

He said: "It was a good performance and it was great for the fans to get back to how we were earlier in the season at home, scoring plenty of goals.

"But it's important we don't take our minds off the job. We have to forget about last week and move on.

"We can't rest on our laurels because we have two tough away games coming up."

Mansfield have won six games out of nine at home but have just one victory on their travels.

McEwan said: "We have to start picking up points away."

Michael Blackwood is not likely to be involved at the Lawn, but has done some light jogging.

A timescale for Jason White's return after knee surgery has still to be set.

Mansfield's youngsters travel to Lincoln City tonight (7pm) for a second-round FA Youth Cup clash.

The FA Cup Trophy Tour comes to Field Mill on Friday from 11am to 7pm. Places must be booked, at www.facuptrophytour.co.uk
